According to the Estonian energy company Alexela, employers are increasingly installing electric car chargers in their company parking lots. One example of this is Ericsson, the world's leading manufacturer and developer of telecom technology. It installed 10 electric car chargers in the company's office and factory parking lots in Tallinn as part of its climate action.
The creation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal will also encourage the transition to sustainable fuel in heavy transport. A community programme was established last Thursday, 11th of June in the framework of which, in cooperation with forest associations, Alexela will plant a tree for every resident of Estonia. Today, Alexela opened at its largest petrol station on the Tallinn-Tartu highway, by the Paia intersection, with two commercial fast charging points for electric vehicles. One of them is Estonia’s first ultra-fast electric car charger with a capacity of 160 kW, while the other has a capacity of 50 kW.
