Alexela Täkupoiss received the family-friendly restaurant gold label

The summer of 2026 has begun with great news: Alexela Täkupoiss has received the family-friendly dining place badge from the Estonian Association of Large Families for the third time this year, this time with the highest gold badge! "We are very proud that Täkupoiss received the gold badge this year," said restaurant manager Triinu Sommer. "This recognition shows that our consistent work in maintaining and developing a family-friendly dining experience has been noticed and is appreciated by our customers."Täkupoiss is designed to be a place where all our guests, both big and small, can feel comfortable. For visitors with children, there is a children's menu, a play corner in the restaurant, a fenced playground outside, highchairs, and convenient facilities for families with young children.Thank you to all our visitors and customers, thanks to whom Täkupoiss can be the kind of place where it is good to come with the family, while on a journey, or separately to seek a culinary experience. Your trust and feedback help us to improve every day! The commission assessed the child- and family-friendliness of the dining establishment's customer service, menu, interior, and whether activities that do not require screens are provided for children during waiting times.The recognition was awarded for the sixth time this year.

Alexela received the recognition of "Supporter of the Defence Forces"

The Ministry of Defence recognised Alexela with the gold-level “Supporter of National Defenders” award! Marti Hääl: “I had the honour of accepting this recognition on behalf of all our employees, current and future customers, and cooperation partners.”According to President Alar Karis, national defence works better when it is backed by the whole society, including entrepreneurs and employers. “14,000 reservists took part in training assemblies last year, and many of them would not have been able to do so without the support of their employers. I thank the companies and institutions that stand by our national defenders and thereby make a direct contribution to Estonia’s national defence. Your example inspires others as well and helps make supporting national defenders increasingly natural and self-evident,” said Karis.Accepting the recognition on behalf of Alexela, Marti Hääl said: “The example of Ukraine shows us that a country’s defence capability is only as strong as the breadth of its willingness to defend itself and the resilience of society in any crisis situation. As a provider of an essential service, all of us at Alexela share an important role and responsibility. But the same also applies to all our partners and customers. Every contribution counts, and everyone’s contribution to national defence, according to their ability, should already be a basic hygiene factor in society. Starting from the everyday choices of every person in Estonia.”“I had the honour of accepting this highest recognition for supporting national defenders on behalf of all our employees, current and future customers, and cooperation partners,” he added.The gold-level “Supporter of National Defenders” recognition is awarded for a long-term and exceptional contribution to supporting Estonia’s national defenders and for meeting the following criteria:being a clearly outstanding example to others in its market sector by highlighting issues concerning reservists with partners, customers, and other stakeholders;offering various benefits to reservists and the Defence Forces, including discounts, equipment rental opportunities, free transport, and similar support;having paid the difference between the employee’s salary and the training assembly allowance to a person participating in an exercise (that is, having maintained the person’s full monthly salary);having continued to pay the person’s salary in full during the exercise;having paid the person an additional bonus or enabled paid additional leave for the duration of the exercise.This year, for the fourth time, the Ministry of Defence recognised companies and organisations that make an outstanding contribution to Estonia’s national defence and support national defenders both in their everyday work and during training assemblies.Photo: Raigo Pajula

Alexela has already contributed over 44,000 euros to the Reserve Forces Fund

Alexela has contributed to the Reserve Forces Fund with over 44,000 eurosSince June 2025, Alexela has consistently increased its contribution to Estonian national defense by supporting the Reserve Forces Fund through donations from product sales, community program regular donations, and separate targeted donations. Today, in cooperation with the contributions of more than 5300 Estonian individuals, this has grown into a significant and substantive support for strengthening Estonia's defense capability.Alexela has directed a portion of the sales revenue from digital products, such as caps, neck gaiters, and water, to the Reserve Forces Fund. Through these products, customers have the opportunity to contribute to national defense through simple everyday purchases. To date, over 11,000 euros have been raised for the fund from the sale of digital products.Community Program – Small Actions, Big ImpactAlexela believes that contributing to national defense does not have to be complicated. It can start with small everyday choices, whether it's a conscious purchase or a decision to direct digital stamps to a regular donation.Our customers can contribute to national defense through Alexela's community program, where regular customers can direct their digital stamps to a monthly donation to the Reserve Forces Fund. Each digital stamp is worth 0.10 euros, and the donation is automatically transferred to the fund once a month. In this way, with the contributions of more than 5300 individuals, over 28,000 euros have already been raised.In addition to the community contribution, Alexela made a 5000-euro donation to the Reserve Forces Fund during the 2025 Christmas period.Together with customers and the community, it is possible to achieve a real and measurable impact that supports Estonia's security both today and in the future.
