Alexela joins PÖFF

Alexela, an energy company that has repeatedly been awarded as the friend of culture and is at the top in several local fields, joins the supporters of PÖFF, one of the largest film festivals in Northern and Eastern Europe. "PÖFF is an important cornerstone of Estonian culture, and it is a great honour and pleasure for us to be a part of this initiative. Our common values – innovation, sustainability and community support – have brought us together for cooperation to contribute to Estonian culture," said Marti Hääl, Chairman of the Management Board at Alexela. PÖFF’s festival director Tiina Lokk believes that the cooperation will open up new opportunities in the fields of Estonian cinema and sustainable energy. "Together we can create something extraordinary, for example, the team of PÖFF is already running on green electricity, so we will have enough energy for the dark nights ahead, thanks to Alexela," she said. This year the festival is presented by Elisa Estonia and Nordic Hotel Forum, and in addition to Alexela, the main partners are Cramo, Solaris Centre, Postimees, National Geographic, Lido and Elke, along with the partners Europark, Lux Express and Lux Charter. PÖFF is one of the largest film festivals in Northern and Eastern Europe, bringing us the freshest and most exciting works of world cinema with international filmmakers every November. Community program member Jana: Clean nature is like a good sleep

Jana Indrane, a member of the community program, does not live in Estonia but in Latvia. Although it would be economically more reasonable for her to refuel on the other side of the border, it is precisely the opportunity to make up for her consumption footprint that brings Jana, living near the border, to refuel in Estonia. Jana works as a sleep consultant and she knows that a considerate attitude to everything in life ensures a harmonious and complete way of living. Be it good sleep or nature - a person can do a lot so that the surroundings charge our lives positively. "Responsibility is in my blood. Just as as a mother I take care of my children, their sleep quality and nutrition, I give back to the environment around me as a member of Alexela’s community program." Jana adds that just like ensuring a good night's sleep, a sustainable lifestyle is a matter of making conscious choices.  Jana joined the community program because, for her, contributing to nature is the same as taking care of herself. "Nature and sleep have a very similar effect on a person, providing rest and an opportunity to switch off our thoughts from everyday life. But a good and well-rested feeling can only be obtained by quality sleep. The same goes for nature. That's why it's important to me, when I spend time in nature, that I imperceptibly strengthen its health," Jana describes. Jana follows a sustainable way of life, and it is also important for her to pass on the messages to her children and friends. "Nowadays people pay more and more attention to both their mental and physical health. It's nice to see that more and more Estonians value the re-growth of our forests. When more than 50,000 people realize that nature conservation cannot be taken for granted, it is no longer an ordinary initiative, but a way of thinking. And good thoughts spread by sharing them, by being proud of them."

The first 400 kW EV chargers are arriving in Estonia

The domestic energy company Alexela is speeding up the development of Estonia's charging infrastructure by installing 400 kW superchargers. The charging speed of electric car chargers of such power is comparable to the filling time of liquid fuels. The first charger of this kind will be installed on the roadside of Via Baltica.

Energiasalv Secures EUR 11 Million Additional Funding for Zero Terrain PHS Project in Paldiski, Estonia

Energiasalv has acquired another EUR 11 million in additional financing for its EU Project of Common Interest (PCI project), the "Zero Terrain Paldiski" Pumped Hydro Energy Storage (PHS) plant in Estonia. The funding includes strategic investments from Alexela, Sunly, Combiwood Grupp, Warmeston, and Kiikri Kodu, further strengthening the project's financial position.
