Alexela support brings young people to the Drama Theatre hall at a lower price in the new season

Estonian Drama Theatre continues its series of theatre evenings “Young to the Theatre!” this autumn, offering young people up to 26 years old the opportunity to visit performances at a discounted price and participate in special programs before or after the performance.
Alexela has decided to lend its supportive shoulder to the youth evening series starting this season, so that the ticket price for the “Young to the Theatre!” evenings remains affordable for young people.
The first fruit of the joint work of the Drama Theatre and Alexela is the youth evening “Rahamaa” with the performance at the Noblessner Foundry on September 18.
The artistic director of the Drama Theatre, Hendrik Toompere Jr.: “Our great desire is to bring more young viewers to the theatre. To offer them something more permanent, an artistic experience, a view of people and society, which would nourish their minds and hearts with something more substantial, besides breaking news. And all this at a ticket price that would be affordable for them. Here, Alexela’s help is really needed.”
“The future of Estonia depends, among other things, on the environment we create for today's young people and the opportunities we provide them. The best way to develop an interest in theatre is to go to the theatre, but for a young person, the price of a ticket can often be an obstacle,” said Marti Hääl, Chairman of the Board of Alexela. “As a domestic company, we consider it very important that more young people come to the theatre, experience Estonian culture and perhaps find something there that will stay with them for much longer than just one evening.”
