The use of diesel fuel carrying a fiscal marker is regulated by Fiscal Marking of Liquid Fuel Act, due to its lower excise tax rate.

In order to buy diesel fuel carrying a fiscal marker (EDK) Alexela as a seller has an obligation to identify the buyer and then, you as a buyer have an obligation to confirm the aim of use EDK, which Alexela will submit with all the rest information concerning the transaction to the Tax and Customs Board.

The laws of the Republic of Estonia allow the use of specially marked diesel fuel (§ 11 (1) of VKEMS):

in agricultural machinery, tractors and mobile machinery and dryers for drying agricultural products;
for commercial fishing.

When purchasing specially marked diesel fuel, the seller must collect and record the customer's data.

Special purpose diesel fuel for professional fishing can only be purchased with an Alexela’s payment card.

For individual buyers who pay for their purchase in cash or with a bank card, an ID card with a PIN1 code must be inserted at the payment machine to identify the person. When purchasing with Alexela’s Payment Card, personal data is automatically recorded.

Representatives of a juridical person can purchase specially marked diesel fuel from Alexela’s filling stations only by using an Alexela’s payment card, which ensures that the identification of the person is confirmed.
