The Alexela Group has for many years contributed to the development of an environmentally friendly vehicle fleet in Estonia by offering environmentally friendly fuel in the form of LPG autogas.
We have now also begun investing in the creation of a CNG sales network (and biomethane in the future) to make Estonia’s transport sector even more environmentally friendly and cost-effective.
At the beginning of 2017, Alexela opened an LNG-based CNG refuelling station at its Võru service station, which was the first of its kind in the Baltic States. The construction of the station was co-financed with more than one hundred thousand euros by the European Union Cohesion Fund and the Connecting Europe Facility.
At the end of 2017, Alexela opened a CNG refuelling station in Jüri; in 2018, we opened a station in Sikupilli; and in spring 2019, in Pääsküla.
By April 2023, the co-financing of methane refuelling stations (Võru, Jüri, Sikupilli, Pääsküla, Peterburi Road 77, Saku Tammemäe, Tartu Lõunakeskus, Viimsi) had been carried out with the support of the European Union Cohesion Fund.
