Estonian energy company, Alexela and cleantech start-up, PowerUP Energy Technologies, has unveiled the first-ever Smart Hydrogen cabinet at Alexela's refilling station at the Kakumäe harbor in Estonia's capital city, Tallinn. The first of its kind smart hydrogen cabinet is targeted towards small application users of hydrogen including sailing boats, yachts, and campervans. To show mobility of the smart cabinet, it will soon be shifted to a more commercial harbour in Tallinn located in Pirita.

A community programme was established last Thursday, 11th of June in the framework of which, in cooperation with forest associations, Alexela will plant a tree for every resident of Estonia. The aim of the programme is to help neutralise the carbon footprint produced by the traffic kilometres created by the people inhabiting Estonia.

Today, Alexela opened at its largest petrol station on the Tallinn-Tartu highway, by the Paia intersection, with two commercial fast charging points for electric vehicles. One of them is Estonia’s first ultra-fast electric car charger with a capacity of 160 kW, while the other has a capacity of 50 kW.

Alexela is the first petrol station chain to install an electric car quick charger at its station located at Peterburi tee 77 in Tallinn. It is also the first quick charging point for cars, in the capital city that uses a European plug.  

As of last Friday, Alexela started offering refuelling possibilities in Sweden. Along with the previously added partner filling stations in Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, besides those in Estonia, our customers can now refuel their vehicles at 3214 filling stations.
