The companies related to businessman Heiti Hääl and dealing with fuel, energy, metal and real estate, Alexela Oil among them, are consolidating into Alexela Group that will be owned by the key figures in those companies headed by Heiti Hääl and Igor Bidilo.

“We wanted to make the group's structure and relations between the owners more clear and to involve new strategic partners to put our plans into action. Igor Bidilo, our long-standing business associate from Kazakhstan, has become the largest participant", explained Hääl.

All the companies who have up to now belonged to Kadaka Varahalduse AS are becoming part of Alexela Group. Alexela Group will include thee subsidiaries: Alexela Metallitööd (metal works), Alexela Kinnisvara (real estate) and Alexela Energia (energy). Alexela Oil will join the latter.

In addition to the fuel business, the group’s companies are also involved in production and sale of oil products derived from oil shale, production and sale of thermal energy to the town of Kiviõli, development and sale of real estate, waste handling and operation of flights. Alexela Group has a total turnover of 319 million euros and employs over 1700 people.

Alexela Energia is the largest of the three subsidiaries. The companies that are part of Alexela Energia have a consolidated turnover of over 300 million euro and more than 1500 employees all over Estonia.

According to the new structure, Alexela Energia will include Alexela Oil, two fuel logistics companies Terminali Partnerid and Alexela Logistics, Balti Gaas, Pakrineeme Harbour, fuel wholesaler Energia Nord, oil products producer Kiviõli Keemiatööstus, liquefied gas company Reola Gaas, electricity seller Elektrimüügi AS and waste handler Eesti Keskkonnateenused.

In 2013 Alexela, the largest chain of automatic filling stations in Estonia, will keep offering customers at all its filling stations only the quality fuel supplied from the Porvoo Refinery in Finland.

“We have chosen the Porvoo Refinery to be our partner because for Alexela the high quality of the fuel sold is the first priority,” said Ain Kuusik, CEO of Alexela Oil. “Porvoo has proven its reliability in all respects. Our retail and wholesale customers are satisfied”.

Moreover, Alexela’s diesel is enriched with the CS3 (CleanSystem3) additive which cleans the injectors, keeps the valves in order, reduces the formation of foam and prevents the appearance of condensed water in the tank.

We are glad to inform you that as of today diesel fuel with a CFPP of -32 ℃ can be found at all its filling stations.

Although now the temperature outside is still above zero, by Wednesday the thermometer will show minus and there will be snow. Summer diesel cannot be used in the fuel system of a car in freezing temperatures because summer and winter diesel fuels have different flow properties.

Aivar Räim, sales development director in Alexela, explains that the problem lies in the different chemical composition of these fuels.

“Summer diesel contains a lot of paraffin which begins to come out of solution in the cold forming wax crystals that clog the cold filter of the car. Paraffin can only be made liquid again by warming it up, for instance, by bring your car to a warm place”, says Räim. “You cannot “dilute” summer diesel that has come out of solution in the winter by adding winter diesel fuel to it, because the latter cannot dissolve the paraffin flakes that have already formed.”

All the fuel sold at Alexela filling stations comes from the Porvoo Refinery in Finland and undergoes several independent quality checks. Moreover, Alexela’s diesel is enriched with the CS3 (CleanSystem3) additive which cleans the injectors, keeps the valves in order, reduces the formation of foam and improves the anticorrosion properties of the fuel.
